There's an opinion piece on that site that suggests Trump will resign, just so President Pence can pardon him.
It's a possibility... but i'm not sure trump is smart enough to go down that road. Plus will his ego and narcissism allow it? Plus the moment he resigns or quits or concedes or whatever the 'give me money to keep fighting [but really pay my massive debts]' grift dries up.
I've seen that mentioned, but in complete seriousness I think that if the Biden Administration/DoJ/FBI/whoever really wants to nail him they will think of something, plus Trump is sufficiently arrogant/deluded that even if Pence gives him a pardon for everything up to his resignation he'll go ahead and keep doing something illegal. Or they'll go after his access to money. I also think Mike Pence is acutely aware that if he becomes president and pardons Trump he is painting a colossal, glowing target onto his own back. There won't be anyone to pardon him once January rolls around and if he does it I can't see Biden feeling terribly forgiving about it.
Trump wouldn't resign. Too dignified. Walk out shouting "I quit" making a lot of noise and stink for some cameras, after taking a Mcdonalds dump on the rug? That I could see him doing.
They must have men in white coats in Washington DC, who can put him in a straight jacket and lock him up in a padded cell.
If they do rise up, then it'll be the fattest uprising ever. A militia leader will have to be careful directing attacks where there are fast food chains nearby.
He'll just have to plan for regular dinner breaks. And keep a steady supply of Metformin coming to the front line.
I do think this presidency should actually prove to the nutters that there isn't a "vast deep state conspiracy" because if there was he's surely have met a freak golf cart accident in early 2017.
