cool... /me so jealous... hope we see buckets of the stuff this year... had a crappy winter last year... doubt it will happen though.. In contrast CoolHand... I'm going to the beach next week and wondering if it will be too cold to do some boogeh boarding...lol
I'm jealous t00 I will probably have to do with a few buckets of the fake version of snow... RAAAAAAAAH Me wanna go snowboarding
Ur lucky Its raining here and i can barely see accross the street its so misty let alone it being about 2*C
hah, snow like that would close down the entire State of Texas for a week, and result in a federally determined disaster area It's warm and pleasant here today, after a really wet and rainy weekend. Hopefully it'll stay dry for my car stereo install this evening.
Hehe yeah ive been to places like that... the roads get frost on them and everyone thinks they are going to die if they drive faster than about 20 mph.... where I live we get 6 inches of snow and dont even blink lol
It's true. People around here would go into shock. I miss snow, I haven't seen it in 16 years and I'm originally from Michigan.
Well I guess us Texan's got to take another thread over I miss snow to, I grew up in Utah, and the moved to Austin. (Lived near chicago for a few years, but glad to be backin Austin) P.S. It is damp and rainy right now here.
It snowed like 3" when I lived in SA when I was a kid... first snow the city had seen in 20 years.. it might has have well been fruit-loops falling from the look on people's faces...lol
I was born here. The only REAL snow I ever get to see is when I go boarding in Colorado. Seen some killer thunderstorms though.
It was before that... I moved from there in '84 (my Mom still lives there and the snow in '85 was a disaster for that town)... Must have been around '82-'83...
We've had some serious snow here too... about '87 I think. I must have been 5 then. Can't remember anyway. Hope for some serious snowage this year as well... My snowboard has to be worn in sometime right? I bought the friggin thing second handed, never used before... still not used
Same in NC. if there is even a mention of snow, even if it's only "it's going to snow but it will melt before it gets within one mile of the ground" people here go insane the entire state shuts down. milk shoots up to like $4 a gallon, streets are closed just for the hell of it, and school is cancled. people here are insane.
ha, people here in boulder think its sprinkling (not snowing) if its anything less than 6" or so. I'm from NJ so I'm no stranger to snow but im not used to hearing "So did you guys get any snow [up in your mountain home]?" "nah, only 8 inches or so"
thats why you got to live just outside boulder. the gunbarrel area is affordable and it gets more so the farther away you go. live 10min+ away from boulder and you can get pretty decent prices on place. not like the tons of mony they charge for a dinky condo on pearl street.
