Apple iTunes network keeps timing out

I can view the iTunes and iTunes plus home page, and was even able to search for an artist, but when I try to select the artist and view their album, or get "more info" on upgrading to iTunes plus songs, it simply crashes stating:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out."

The network diagnostics show 3 green dots.

I popped open my browser, searched for "andy hunter" on apple's iTunes site, and chose an album then clicked "play in iTunes" and I got a server 500 error.

I've cleared my DNS cache and still no dice...

I was just curious if any other bit-tech'ers are having issues with the new iTunes 7.2

 

Apparently there must have been some DNS changes over at apple... changing DNS hosts did the trick.

Kind of odd.... I'll give it a day or two then switch back to my preferred DNS host.

 

I too seem to be having issues with itms, fortunately I have no use for it currently. I guess there's just a large influx of fluffy geeky hippy types that want all their music DRM free even though they only have an iPod anyway. Ah well.

 

yup, that'd be me... I still can't download about 3 of my songs, but oh well, I'll let my geek hippie brothers finish downloading their stuff and try again later

Even if I never move them off my computer, just knowing my federal fair use rights are still in tact feels nice, not to mention a higher quality that I'll probably never notice through my PC speakers anyway
