I think this is quite a good idea.
Although I don't use iTunes, I even had an account once, with 5 free songs via a coke promotion, but i didn't use them. I don't want DRM infected music. I don't own an iPod and don't intend to.
My GF on the other hand will like this feature. (is iTunes in NZ yet?)
She has bought a few individual songs and then went and bought the album (from the physical store because no iTunes in NZ)

 

A fair feature.

In fact, a feature I (who never used iTunes or another online-music store) would have thought any self-respecting digital music store would have anyway ...
