Jack Thompson takes on "pornaments"

least he is leaving video games alone for the moment.

 

And here I though that when this said pornament it was a tournament for porn..

And why was a youth group protesting? The youth are supposed to like that kinda stuff...

 

Because chanting "Pornaments" incredibly loudly in a mall will almost certainly discourage interest, and prevent children from being exposed.


... How many minors go into an adult novelty (SEX) shop? Seriously. Let's look at this logically. ADULT novelty, IE 18-to-25. 16 and 17 year olds who are mature enough to pass as 18, probably are mature enough to hand it. Between 10 and 15, you KNOW ABOUT SEX. It's a fact, deal with it, America. The only people who don't are cloistered people, who usually don't frequent adult novelty shops anyway. Under 10, I should think they have a parent with them.

 

One thing's for sure: The store couldn't have asked for better advertising. Free press from fundamentalists is a guaranteed way to sell things.

I love how EVERY SINGLE TIME he does one of these stupid crusades, it does nothing but drum up business. You'd think companies hire him just so he'll sue... [insert conspiracy theory]

 

I must admit I did.

Psychological research has indicated that young children simply "switch off" and ignore sexual material that they do not yet understand because is is meaningless to them (provided, of course, it is not forced upon them). So a few risqué ornaments are hardly going to do them any psychological damage.

Perhaps, if Jack Thompson really wants to make America a more wholesome, better place, he could focus a bit on the plight of many children who will spend this Christmas cold, hungry and poor.

 

i'd decorate the tree with pornaments if the wife would allow it... do they have a tree topper?

i saw those at a store in the mall near me. It wasnt an porn shop, but it was a shop that sold a lot of random stuff, including some adult stuff.

TBH, they werent that good anyways, i dont know why anyone would buy them.

 

Are these at places like "Spencer's Gifts", if anyone knows that chain?
Not really porn shops but they sell the pin-up girl calenders and beefcake pictures for the ladies as well as novelties and gag gifts, which these pornaments obviously are.

Why doesn't Jack Thompson just go and live in the woods somewhere far away from modern society. It's obvious he has completely lost touch with reality.

 

He never had contact to begin with. Someone needs to sue him, for something hilariously bogus, yet will make him understand how STUPID he is.

 

I must admit that my guess at 'pornaments' was those ebay sales where people sell items (invariably shiny/chrome), where the accompanying picture has a reflection showing nudity or even more explicit images....

 

That store is great, I can do all my christmas shopping there.

Bunch of whining idiots with nothing better to do. The lawyer seems to be doing the only productive thing - trying to get some publicity to boost his career, not writing to them to take the ornaments off sale.

 

it is an adult shop, made for adults, were kids normally don't enter, these guys are idiots.
