Just installed and beat Jedi Academy SP (good game BTW, you havent lived until youv played chicken on a speederbike while wielding a lightsaber) so I go to fire up some MP play to see what the pams are like and I get stuck on the intro screen...... CAD, ALT+TAB, Windows key, ESC, Cursing... reboot freezes again CAD, ALT+TAB, Windows Key, ESC, CUrsing... reboot and here I am. P4 radeon 9700 pro 512MB pc 1066 RDRAM Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer not even a hitch with single player mode
is your disk scratched? ifnot reinstall>>>if not ripe to hdd using alcohol puls youll get faster load times? multi is awsome on the internet.....also if you have a key form th einternet it might be banned
Try applying the latest multiplayer patch from the lucas arts website. Version 1.01 I think it is. That game rules online! BTW FILTHY1337 you don't need a CD key for jk3.
im hesitant to download the patch because it would take me an hour here but I checked the page and it didnt say anything about correcting a startup issue. Il try but is there anyway I can ad a command line option to the game run shortcut to force it into a window so I dont have to keep rebooting?
My brother plays JKA loads and I've never seen that issue: I don't know about running it in a window exactly but this utility : http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Q3E_Minimizer;50823 will allow you to minimize JKA so may help you?
alright. already patched before the problem started (v 1.01). the minimizer wont kick in for the into screen so im stuck. any other ideas? command line switch?

Alright, got it to work. zone alarm popped up underneath it requestinc conf for it to act as a server. the dialog "bubble" wasn't on top so it just stuck there.
