    Hello all!

A while ago I got a Asus P5E motherboard. Everything works great, but the message generated by the jMicron controller really annoys me. Each time I boot up it shows a list of connected devices, and i have to wait a few seconds for it to disappear. (or i can press a key).

Now, is there a way to remove this damn thing? I know disabling the controller will remove it, but then my DVD burner won't work (of course...).

Yeah. When I built this system I just used the one from my old computer, as I mostly just use it for installing windows and burn maybe 1 dvd a month (absolute maximum). So I didn't see the need for a new one.

Maybe it's time for a SATA burner, then... :/

um. I just checked the price on a Optiarc AS-7200S. I didn't realize they had become this cheap. I'll just go out and get one on Monday...
