I read a story waaay back about how John Travlota wouldn't acknowledge that his son had autism (I think that's what it was) because of Scientology's "beliefs" and as a result the son was suffering pretty badly.
It would be a shame if that's true Will, hopefully John isn't that dumb! To the guys poking fun at this, seriously, how is this funny? Was this teenager some sort of super evil kid that deserves to get laughed at when he dies? Or is laughing at people that die the cool thing to do these days?
Not laughing at, laughing with! I also heard the thing about Travolta refusing to believe his son had psychiatric problems that needed treatment. It'd be a shame if the kid died because his dad refused to believe in the meds he needed to stay alive, but it wouldn't be the first time stupid scientology beliefs have caused people to die.
It's not funny - but a light-hearted joke doesn't do any harm imo. No-one's saying he deserved it or something asshatish like that. Sounds like a shame to me - it's always sad when someone young dies.
That.. Really sucks for him, and his family - Regardless of which imaginary friends John believes in.
I really hope john dosen't go for a fly in his jumbo to let off steam as that wont work out too well! Didn't realise that he was into that whole Scientology crap, slience whilst doing certain activites would be most boaring!
after posting the topic i realise that it should have gone into serious, as this is no joke and chance of turning into a anti sciencetology debate....
LOL at Rample's post. Seriously though, I couldn't imagine what they must be going through - what a start to the new year they'll have.
