    Top of the range 9600xt or bottom of the line 9800 pro?

    If you wait a while you will probably find the prices for a 9800 pro go down a fair bit.

    But at the moment if it was me I would go for a 9800 pro.

    i'm so not waiting! i'm getting the money in like 2weeks, so i'll need to get it then, and i need to cos i cant stand this gf2 anymore!

    If you wait for ATI to release the new X800 card, you might see a price drop in their other cards (but I wouldn't count on it :p).

    Right now, there's a $50 difference between the cheapest prices you can find each of the cards ($150 and $200). I guess it depends on your budget and whether you can afford an additional $50. I would search for some comparisons of the 9600XT vs. 9800 Pro and see if it's worth the additional money. :thumb:

    9800 pro - Ive had the ATI 9600xt and wasnt really impressed with it. Couldnt even muster a 4000 in 3dmark03 unless you overclock the bejesus out of it...
