Seriously? All he's saying is that Dell's factory calibration is actually extraordinarily accurate, which any decent review will confirm. This is because they use very accurate spectrophotometers and not some tinker toy. Goodbytes knows more than his fair share about monitors without people like you going around trolling. Now stop acting like a toddler.
Oh you mean this: Every U2410 users has a report with different results to fit the variation of the panel and back light. Hence, why Dell asks you to keep it, and says it's unable to reproduce it or duplicate it at the bottom. Ok let's see: Minolta Color Analyzer CA210 Price: 7,995.00$ - refurbished price. Minolta Color Analyzer CS1000 Price: Call for price. Luminance Colorimeter BM-5AS (BM-5AS is a just a new revision over the BM-5A) Price: Call for price. Do you want me to continue? Or you are going to trust your crappy 100-200$ toy that you use... if any? Next time you question any of our knowledge, let alone mock me, you better have your facts straight! I got mine, and I am always ready. Until then, you shut up and learn something.
Hey I wasn't trolling, the way he worded that post was just funny to me at least. The first words of your post read 'In my opinion...', as I remember opinion isn't fact. I was simply inquiring proof of your claims if you took offense to that grow up, stop being ignorant not everyone is naive and will take your word for it without further proof.
If you bothered to read the post... I said "In my opinion, " on the market segment that Dell is aiming this monitor too. Until the day I work at Dell on the U2410 and have a close relation with the marketing team, I'll have no idea for sure, on Dell market segment(s) this monitor if targeted too. My English is not the best in the world.. I am aware of that, but I do try my best. If you compare my recent posts with my early posts... you see the great improvement I have achieved. When I did all my early education in French due to some law forcing me to go to a French school and surrounded by French speaking, poor English speaking society (in the most part), it's hard to have a good English. My English started to improved when I entered a English College, and now English University.
If your budget is £300 then DO get the U2311H. I got mine last week and it is by far the best monitor I've ever had. I was looking at the U24 but I'm on a budget. I have used it on XP, Win 7 and Ubuntu and it is a beaut using the DisplayPort (got a cable from Amazon for under £10). I have also hooked up the PS3 using a DVI-HDMI cable I already had. For the sound I used my PS3 component cable and used the Red & White audio to connect to my PC speakers. The sound is perfect and the picture is amazing. All the best games looked even better. The colours are stunning. I have not had to change any of the preset colour options apart from turning down the default Brightness from 75 to 30. It worked straight out of the box. A superb monitor. Go spend your money!
