I have just bought an Asus PB298Q after reading custom pc review. So far what an exellent monitor. Films are amazing on it. And I am amazed my old HD5850 is playing everything at 2560x1080 on my pc incuding, Cyrisis 2 very high, textures on, dx11 enabled all the Batman Arkham, Dishonored. Some games stretch ther image. But the games that sypport it with the intro tittle scene at 1980x1080 on game screen run in true 2560x1080 and look great, even got Dark Souls 2 to run. I was looking to upgrade this year. But seeing my H5850 is playing everything
I may wait. Also gonna hook it up to my wiiu over the weekend see how that plays. As you probably tell I am pwell pleased. And thank you to Custom PC for the review.
ps should my HD5850 really be runing all these games, or do I have a mutant gfx.

By the way would thoughly recomend this monitor

Nearly went for this screen instead of the DELL but when don't hear any bad comments about a monitor that has been out longer and plus the warranty I went for DELL

I'm thinking the dell, or maybe the original LG with the updated firmware. Was hoping the PB298Q would be similar to the other Asus model but with the Zero Dead Pixel guarantee. Not sure if the contrast ratio and colours can be tuned to be the same level.
