    Welcome!

You've already bought it?? Soooo.. why tell us - isn't it a bit late if we think you should change some of the components?

I just bought this rig. i want a 5 series think its called ati ever green ? will get one of those soonish. How ever im sure the 4870x2 will last a while.

I cant wait to get windows 7 either. Also i want to buy a second computer soon to leave on all the time and it just torrents and folds.

anyone got a similar pc to mine ? if so how does it run ? I dont get my pc for another 7-9 days.

Why is it going to be on 24/7? Just give me the wasted money and I'll put it to good use. And I wont waste energy with it either!

I'm thinking that you should have bought an i7 rig, where did you get this assembled?

IDE ODDs are a pretty poor choice nowadays, awful for airflow.

The keyboard and mouse are awful for gaming, you'll probably be buying a better pair soon..

The PSU is about two years old, but it's still a pretty good one.. Extremely overkill for your PC though.

    RAM is fine.

    I wouldn't call the CNPS9900 'ULTIMATE COOLING'. :p

GPU is fine, case is fine..

    Not sure what's 'Not Included'

    Phenom X4 < i7. :-|

EDIT: I just tallied up how much the PC would cost to build yourself, and you would've saved ~£200.. :(

machine would be on all the time as id be torrenting. so not wasted energy........

I was on a tight budget to get a good machine here. i can get a mouse any other time.

yeas i could of saved 200 quid doing it my self but im a noob and would rather have some one else do it.

I7 was very tempting. But im an amd fan boy. (NO HATE). Don't want to mess with voltages etc.

    pc assembled computerplanet.

I just copy and pasted my order from the site.

I don't even want to reply then, but I personally can't say it's a good purchase, especially if you have a "tight budget.

i love it when people actively proclaim themselves to be fan boys, i always view it as an insult rather than a badge!

anyway, seems a bit silly to order this, then come on line and say look at this badass when as bindi says no-one can offer you any advice because you've ordered!

the comp will be fine, if you'd made this post a week ago it could have been better.

EDIT: plus if you're folding an Nvidia GPU is far preferable

The money you'll spend on energy bills to power that thing over night for torrents could be spent on buying actual legal copies of the media your ripping off.

If you torrent then be green, and buy a low power system a few generations back like the shuttle i have humming in the corner...

Screw the world, im not being green to save the planet i am doing it to save my wallet!

even then they draw too much power for such a simple task.

You mentioned you had a Celeron spec'd system, throw that back into use if possible, underclock it and let it hum away in the corner.

I have an old Socket A athlon XP doing my dirty work and even then its over spec'd! lol!

Haha how much do you need to pirate to leave it on 24/7 all the time.

Downloading 'PLanet Earth - The Discography'?

I don't bother specing prices but even I know that kit could have been better, not sure how you say anything over £1k is a tight budget.

The 24/7 thing I would say is a waste, your bigs would be silly unless you have a kick ass internet connection with unlimited download, but you'd fill 1TB easily then.

As others say, a torrent pc is best a s low power one, I have a 300w pc running a basic AGP gfx card to torrent and all removeable storage so is only on when needed, it's in the bed room and pretty much quiet.

Stick around and read the forum's you'll pick up loads

I really don't see how that PC could be over 1k, let alone £1.25k.

Building a PC together is so simple, and 2 hours work could have saved you £200 (Or a lot more)

IDE optical drives in a brand new £1250 PC? Mate if you can still cancel your order, do it.
