Ill say congrats on your new system, IMO its overpriced and im really not seeing the need for a 1500w psu?

I think the money could have been better spent, but hey its your money as long as your happy with it.

I'm suprised you haven't been told off for speaking about illegaly downloaded stuff. And you must either live a very solitude life to watch every movie, or you download loads of useless things you don't watch.

I don't see how that has anything to do with your system?

Speedy downloads are surely dependent on your own connection, proper setup of the program and proper forwarding of ports ?

I'd just like to point out technically there *are* legal torrents and movies for download and that technically you're just *assuming* that he's downloading the illegal stuff.

I think you should cancel your order whilst you can and get the cash back.

    That's a bad buy.

I was thinking the same thing, i cant even think of 10 films worth downloading/watching a day! i think you could have got 90% of the performance for about half the price of what you've paid.

As everyone else has said, no offense, but that really is an awful spec. You can build a very, very fast i7 system for just over £1000...which would be quite a bit faster. £900+ on an AMD setup is ridiculous ATM IMO.

Lmao to the **** that thinks im on the dole.

Im downloading so much now because they are about to get really strict so i am making the most of it whilst i can.

So when the ban does come ill have loads of movies to watch :D

Yes i know torrenting is nothing to do with the system i was replying to some one elses reply.

Now saying i have no life and on the dole ? A bit harsh and extreme isnt it ?

Seeing as you dont know who you are talking to and have no facts or proof fo what you are saying ?????:grr:

If you read up i said i cant put a system together thats why i got some one else do do it all for me. I guess that includes labour etc.

Ive got roughly the same price with scan adding the parts all up too. Plus paying £40 to get some to set up the system works out more.

I dont like nvidia not supporting dx 10.1 they also pay game devs more to make the game support there chipsets more.

ATI 4870X2 is a good card. i will not pay an extra 100 for a gtx 295 for 10 fps more.

Also seeing as im going with the ati i also went for the amd.

I7 920 has been known to bottle necking with 4870x2s.

I sense so much failure in this thread. Warez + components + just overall sigh.

And how on earth do you think i7 is bottlenecking the 4870x2, but the Phenom isn't? Oh wait, you're a self-declared fanboy so lets not even go there...

    Welcome to the forums, eh?

looking back at the comment it was indeed a bit harsh. was meant in jest anyway i apologise for any offence caused.

in terms of I7 bottle necking 4870x2: the AMD is a less powerful proc, so will bottle neck even more. bottle necking is not affected by the make of the CPU/graphics card

The bottle necking i read on here on a post from a high rep user on the i7 review.

Being a fan is not a bad thing. Im proud of amd. Not saying id just stick to it. But i prefer them

My last card was an 8800 ultra.

and with the intel i7s you dont see much diffrence unless in real hard applications comapred to penrynn chip.

You could have got a far better AMD system for that money...
Cancel if you can and learn what £1.25k can get you in the way of a AMD machine.
    It will be pretty sick.

Being a fanboy is a bad thing though, im not saying you shouldnt support 1 company over the other, but the problem with fayboys are they just end up shooting themselves in the foot.

I prefer amd over intel, but when i was looking to replace my xp2500+ machine intel was soo far ahead that it didnt make sense to stay with amd, My next upgrades comming up and its looking like intel again, either way ill get whats best for the budget i have.

Well for starters drop all that fan boy crap and look here

You can switch out the case for the HAF932 if you like, and go ATI rather nvidia, but that hardware list is pretty much the best bang for bucket in its catorgory.
