Just Cause crashes after launching the game. I havent even seen a image. Just turn black then crashes. Anybody have any similar problems to this? Tryed the frag and cache stuff in steam but made no difference my drivers on video card are all up to date. No other idea what it could be Any advice thanks? William
I have Had this problem before, it was after a format and I simply transferred the files from my old drive, but after a re-download it ran smoothly.
It seemed to dislike a couple of the programs i had open. Mumble being one of them. No idea why but i read in another post on another site that just cause doesnt like the overlays that appear so that could be it.
While we're on the subject, does anyone else get horrible input lag if they turn the graphics settings up? Also, don't get into a turret on a police boat. It's glitched, you can't get out of them again, you have to reload
Mumble used to cause my live mail to completely stop working, shut mumble down and magically live mail would start working fully again.
I did, wierded me out at first as I was getting a solid 30 fps, but huge input lag, briefly thought it was a part of the game Haven't found any solution, I simply play with a little reduced graphics.
Thats fine for me? :S I honestly have never had issues with JC2... although seeing myself as a plane was ever so slightly concerning (G9 Eclipse is a flying tank)
For the input lag thing, this seemed to help a little bit: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20780132&postcount=2 though I still have to have it on lowest settings, it has almost totally eliminated the input lag. My gameplay is a lot more productive now, I can actually hit things. If I turn the settings up to full, the input lag is like ~500ms though, it's absurd. Totally unplayable. I would pursure tech support over it, but it's always such a gruelling, wall-bashing experience I don't know if I can bear to.
When it comes to Just Cause 2... playing at 1920x1600 with Ultra graphics and managing to fly that heavily ladden down with high explosives jumbo jet into THAT military base... trust me, wall banging, 4 days worth of torture is totally worth it.
