got to know first thing to do is open a thread and post an image before and after, box is still closed but this is what it looks like before.. sorry about the image quality, more interested in sharing this experience, only will be running at 1900x1200 but this may turn some one on to this screen. back in a minute once the box is open.
running at 2048x1152 not native. really nice screen. For comparson the orginal screen is a 19" hp tft.
Going to do the screen justis with a proper box behind it, has to be done right, got to put in 10'000 hands at low stakes poker and make a gradual climbing chart I can start to bank on instead of blowing up 400 to 25k or 75$ to 9k in under 600 hands.. not the way I want to live, would be nice to quantify myself better. im off to watch a hd boxing video and press the button on the right and set it to movie if its got one. Ill post back, might have to turn the lights off
Looks very nice, but seems pretty short in comparison to the 17" model, I love widescreen as much as the next guy, but that seems extreme
It's one hell of a monitor. I've got one running beside a 2408WFP and it's so much better in every way... why aren't you not running it @ 2560x1440?? Also, letmme guess, you're gonna grind your way up from 25NL 6max or whatever, and the 2711 was to be able to run 16 stars tables without tiling
Yeah why are you not running it at full res? text and detail is going to look fuzzy at any res other than native.
Congrads on your purchase! I have U2410 (24inch version) and I LOVE mine! Yea, if you don't run your monitor at native resolution (2560x1440), because you could have purchase a far cheaper monitor at lower resolution. Now all you need is: - Cable management on your IKEA desk - A non of an abomination keyboard (Sorry but 5$ HP keyboard is not a keyboard) - A better webcam (I assume you used one for these pictures) - Speakers? And your set for a nice setup. oh, and your room needs contrast... a darker table will help.
actually, the scaling chip is so good on this monitor, i can running the monitor at 1920x1080 and not notice much difference. make sure you set it to sRGB for awesome accurate looking colours. but yes, you should run it at native resolution for more desktop space. eg. this is what im doing as i type this: who needs multi-monitors?
I do Why settle for 2 browsers open when you can have three? Seriously though... Why 1920? A nice screen like that and you're purposely degrading the quality available? Makes no sense. Is it a GPU issue?
just got home from some overtime, office re-arrangement, I was offered one of these. ALWAYS wanted one of these, its a proper one as well not a £80 one, this is a really good one. Post back in a minute with results.
Nice upgrade. I'm glad you're happy with it. I was over the moon when I bought my Dell monitor. Really great screens.
Nice, damn all of you saying how much better it is than my Dell 2408WFP. I still love my screen, best PC purchase I ever made TBH. Awesome setup, but you seriously need to use a better camera!
I envy you! I'm looking at getting a 24" monitor very soon, but that makes me want to save up for a lovely 27... 2560x1440 would be amazing to game on - I can only imagine. Also, I'd like to second GoodBytes on replacing your keyboard! With a screen like that, you deserve a keyboard of equal quality
