Just got my lcd from MO friday, finally got around to hooking it all up.. hooked up 3 leds to the GPO's (need more header thinggies). Mounted in the picture frame.. I got a extra frame, I'm gonna redo it when I have more time since it's not perfectly level.. Same with the LED's.. Anyway I wrote up a little review for it. see it at http://www.mach-five.com/tech/nk204v/nk204v.html -scoob8000
nice m8 nice looks alot like mine that did i infulence you in any way? "And here is a shot of the display mounted into a $1.50 picture frame from Wal-Mart, one day I will make a graphical background to go around the readout and GPO's." you mean sommet like this Later AW3K
scoob8000 m8 i didn't mean to be rude , sorry i'm really stressed at the moment. hope you find a nice background for the stand Happy modding Later AW3K
AW3K, not a problem, I took you as just being a smart arse like myself.. I got a couple ideas, and printed a few tests.. But if i may ask, how did you manage the cutouts for the display and GPO's. I cant seem to get things to line up.. right now im using PSP7 as my photoshop serial expired.. DOH! -scoob8000
no problem m8 this is a hard question , for the screen well i used tracing paper over the frame and marked the screw holes and the edge of the scren and then cut out the screen bit. checked it agains the frame and if it was ok transferred it over to the graphics drew inside the hole and cut using an extreamly shape craft knife and a metal ruler. the gpo's i take it you used the 5mm led's? if so it's easy, take evry thing off the stand and put the photo in place, draw through the led holes, get a standard hole punch as used in an office and punch! the result a perfect hole push the led clips back in and thats that done. as for the screen well i used tracing paper over the frame and marked the screw holes and the edge of the scren and then cut out the screen bit. checked it agains the frame and if it was ok transferred it over to the graphics and cut using an extreamly shape craft knife. hope that helps you some what any more questions let me know Later AW3K
Nice write-up Seems that acrylic picture frame has become quite popular... AW3K, who did you get the Idea from in the first place, I forget? Search isn't working for me in this forum so I'll have to hunt it down. I love the line "I chose to include a .25amp fastblow fuse to the circuit because I have the worst luck. " Sounds like me so I think I may borrow the idea for my custom wiring too! And how did you get that pencil sharpener graphic etched into the frame? Time for the site designer in me to come out... Since I liked your review and the layout of your wiring and all, I thought I'd check out your site. Being lazy, I looked for a link to the main site and couldn't find one, so I tried the "previous page" link and since this was opened in it's own window, it went nowhere. May I suggest a "Main" or "Home" link on the page? Ok, I know most of us aren't noobs, and obviously I could get to the top page, but why not make it a bit easier so we can look at all your stuff? Just a suggestion.
Nice work Guys! I just have my Nk204 siting on my desk in the raw. Can't decide what to do wit it and what I should use the GPOs for....
Whypush, I know, i should do that.. Right now my cheezy nagigation scheme is a small 'navbar' frame at the top of the page, then previous thing is just a javascript call to go back one history.. my url is in my sig.. -scoob8000
Re: Nice write-up I believe it twas me who told AW3K about the picture frame . But he came up with the rest
Re: Re: Nice write-up And i'm very greatful m8, did i tell you that i credited the find of the frame to you? if not it's on my site under the LCD bit Later AW3K

You talking about Photoshop 6.0? Didn't know that serialz can expire. But who cares; should be no prob to get a new one, should it cu Elemental
Yeah, I get this stupid white box that comes up when I run it that says "serial expired" doesnt give me a chance to put a new one in either.. guess i need to reinstall but im too lazy.. however Imageready still works.. odd.. -scoob8000
