yeah drink driving pisses me off (as does uninsured drivers but that not relevant at the moment)

personally it makes things easier i have found if you just tell the truth. therefore nothing can be blamed on you.

hypothetical but what if you where driving along and he had been drinking, a toddler walks into the road and you ( as a non qualified driver) panic his reactions are slowed and you hit the toddler.

the outcome was not as serious as that but could of been. i would shop him in to be honest. the only question remains, and you will ultimately get asked this at some point, why did you continue to drive with him drinking? and this needs an honest answer also.

where you intimidated by him? not to the point of being scared to speak out but to the point of wanting him to think your 'cool' with it.
did he only start drinking halfway round the lesson, i which case where you just hoping to get home?

now the guy behind you was too close but that is neither here nor there your instructor ws in the wrong and should face the consequences for it.

The other question I would ask is how the f ... did the instructor manage to be so confident in the first place to actually drink in the car in front of his pupil. Not even during a break, but during the lesson. Plus 3 cans! This means he doesn't give a s*!!

    1) Have you suffered any injury as a result of this accident. If not then I'm not sure why you'd need to sue anyone for an 'easy grand.' It seems any old accident now will see people running to solicitors to stick a claim in (did you see that show on TV last night all about it?)

    2) I cant believe your instructor was drinking. He needs to be sacked and more. Its unacceptable. If you knew he was drinking too then that wasnt the smartest idea was it. Are you sure you ought to be taking lessons from someone like that. Its not a great role model to start your driving 'career' with.

    3) The guy who slammed into the back of you is at fault for the accident. Whether you could have made the entrance to the roundabout or not the person behind should have enough roo m to stop in any eventuality. The fact they couldnt stop means they were too close. Thats why they buggered off!

To be honest the any accident is not nice and I hope you are ok but saying that its completely irresponsible for you and you instructor to be in a car with one of those people under the influence.
