Fixed that for you...
Why dont you let her have a new dress and wear the other one yourself to the wedding, Now that would make some great wedding photo's.
If you can't sell it on eBay then keep it in the attic and say it'll be your daughter's dress some day?
Drop some sweet and sentimental stuff like that and you're golden. i7 in no time.
This. After all, you haven't bought the suit yet...
Aren't bridesmaids usually relatives
Just buy the new dress and let her be happy
I'm just amazed that you can get a wedding dress ordered, fitted and finished in 7 weeks, took my wife about 3 months, and that doesn't include the months of her wandering round shops with her mom and bridesmaid looking at them.
In all honesty, your screwed, she will get the dress she wants, the old one, if you can sell it, will go for about 1/10th the amount you bought it for and none of this or your acceptance of this, will in her eyes, be justification for upgrading hardware or kinky sex.
Welcome to married life.
I would just make sure that you can use this as leverage for any future things you do that make her mad, like if you buy a motorcycle. Call it even.
I'd have a major penis growing from my forehead after basically losing £1200, but then again, you've chosen each other and what would I know.
This is why I just want to **** around, get an Aston Martin and a penthouse flat on 5th avenue. No hassles.
I'm doing so much fixing in this thread!
You should be precisely three angers angry; an anger being equivalent to a bushel of irritation.
Buy the dress + sell the wrong one = money for more pc goodness.
Buy the dress, BUT, negotiate with her and make sure she realises that whenever you want some expensive presents for yourself like a very bloody expensive PC then she knows what the score is.
My take would be.
"another dress is fine, sell the one you've got and use the money for the new one."
If she chose the dress, it's her fault it's a f@@@up, she should sort it out with her money.
I may offer to pay half the difference, but I'd be p!ssed about it.
tell her to take it in the pooper if she wants new dress.
Shouldn't that be a Bushell of irritation?
That amuzed me
On the scale of angryness, 1 being not angry at all, 10 being psychotic, I'd rate it at about a 6.
"FFS." On the angry chart.
