So I just installed Fedora 9 with the flashy new KDE 4 on my laptop and everything is going well, except... At one point the system locked up and I had to do a hard reboot. After the reboot, the Windows-style bar at the bottom of the screen was gone. Does anyone know how to get it back? I can bring up the individual widgets but can't combine them the way they had been and this is rather frustrating. Thanks in advance, Sam
The best thing would be to get a recent svn version of kde, but normally, if you right click on the desktop you will see "add new panel". This options should have been backported fron KDE 4.1 svn.
Thanks. For now I solved the problem by deleting the .kde folder and restarting plasma. So far everything seems to be working okay, but I'll check out your tip anyways.
