It's raining very heavy at the moment and has been for the past 3 days!

Was told that August will be even more hotter than July. :/

Roof mods is a no no since it's flat roof and is covered with layers of roof felts and other stuff that I don't want to touch.

I'm happy to do window but not the roof.

    Thanks anyway.

How about using an old car radiator or something like it, hooking a set of box fans up on either side (one push, one pull), and finding a way to hook a pump up to the radiator that pumps water from a water supply (5 gallon bucket or something like it), then just throw ice in that once a day or couple of days. The cold water being pumped through the radiator would cool the air passing through it down enough that it should keep your room cool enough for the computers.

Make your own AC. with a WC loop only much larger. I still think custom hand made windom fans are the easiest bet. But flappers on the to protect from rain and stuff when not in use.

Insulation is actually pretty cheap, but you do have the problem that it will also keep the warmth that your computers produce IN the room better, and I don't think it'll really make a difference if the garage is in direct sunlight.

I think really, the only decent option is an air con unit, they're actually not too pricey nowerdays, portable ones are getting very cheap, for £300 you could get a pretty decent one. I know it's still not cheap, but cheaper than replacing 3 fried servers.

:waah: I think I'll be getting an air con unit of my own if it gets any hotter : /

Im not sure but i dont think i heard anyone say to just get one of those a/c units you put in the window. I use to rent out this room that got so hot in the summer and i put one of those in the window and was able to keep my room nice and cool. just requires and outlet plug no water.

block the windows with blackout cloth or cardboard. blow cool air in at night and it should stay cooler. also, paint the roof green if you can. green has been proven to be more efficient in the heat to keep a building cool. or, just move the servers to different room?

Plant grass in your garage it cools the air. I think. Just water your garage frequeltly and feed it plenty of sunlight. Or my other idea with fans.
