Seems a little selfish to lay everybody off (less those 15 "lucky" people) just because he's got bored and wants to move on. Couldn't he just have moved in a non-exec role and let someone else run the company for him?

there's rumours of 2K wanting to **** things up so he torpedo'd the studio.

cant confirm any of that tho.

It does a little don't it, this seems akin to pressing the big red button.
What happens to the IP of Irrational Games ?
The whole thing seems odd to me.

The Bioshock IP will more than likely remain with 2K Games.
As Irrational Games was a subsidiary of 2K any IP they owned will usually belong to the parent company.

Though saying that, if Ken Levine is going directly to Take-Two then he could potentially reclaim the IP as Take-Two Interactive own 2K Games.
