well my post to the steam forum of KBS proved to 99% troll as always you get a lot of 'we must Photoshop our images of this game, nothing could possibly be wrong with it, your just a F**' etc etc etc etc the only positive was one guy that said he to had an issue with Logitech keyboard drivers and more specifically the media controls on them always providing floating point input to the game causing radical behaviour only solution he saw was to buy a new keyboard...so he spoke to the devs who gave him a refund to his steam wallet till the bug can be fixed as can be seen here, this is one liquid rocket, with a fuel tank on top, and a command module on top of that the SAS is turned on, but the Logitech drivers are presenting bad data giving me a constant pitch to the top setting, causing cartwheels the way I see it I have 3 options A) wait for a fix B) continue my support ticket asking for a refund C) get a new keyboard
Do you need a new keyboard though? Is something like this an option? http://uberoptions.net/ That or can you uninstall the Logitech drivers and just use the windows ones? I have a pretty basic media keyboard, maybe 6 or 7 years old now. but all the functions work without the Logitech drivers.
but I like my media / macro keys ^_^ they are useful in a lot of games like WOT ( auto fire extinguisher and such ) and in Gearbox which is a guitar emulation program where I can set up macros to switch between guitar effects, backing tracks, even amplifiers will defiantly try your link though and see what I can sort out
I've used the uber options in the past for my mouse. I hope that it or something like it works for you. KSP is a fun game, when you can play it...
Jesus it's not easy is it, just downloaded the demo. Trying to get an orbit around Kerbin, followed a tut, got a full orbit circle but then it all went to pot when I was trying to get my periopsis whatever at more than 70k.
After watching a youtube video and learning about control points, I managed to get a much better orbit, still didn't get all the way around because my orbit was slightly elliptical and I didn't understand how all the control point controls worked. I reckon I could do it now, *EDIT* Just been and done it, , launched into orbit, burned to get orbit, burned again to circulise(that should be a word) orbit, went around kerbin twice, then retro burned to bring it in to land. Orbit set! View from the capsule window. Retro burn for descent. Jeb back on Kerma Ferma!
Currently in the process of sending a rescue ship to duna since I broke the parachute on my 1 man capsule. The construction dynamic changes somewhat when you make rockets based on larger command modules and tanks. I will post some rocket picture when I get my broadband installed this week. too painfull to do it all on the mobile. Loving all the creativity in peoples rocket design
Been trying after watching another video. First time was good but I ran out of fuel just as I was approaching munar surface so hit the ground and blew up. Not been able to get a decent munar orbit path since, or run out of fuel before the burn to get from kerbing to mun.
If you're having a hard time with the Mun, consider Minmus. It's the second moon of Kerbin, and actually easier to land on. You have to burn more fuel to get out to it, but the gravity there is much lower so you can save enough on landing/takeoff to make up for it.
Would have done, but I'm only on the demo atm, so only the mun. Just completed my munar mission though, . Took a few attempts to get the burn to munar encounter right, and even then it was all to skew, but I got there, and almost landed, but still had a touch of lateral velocity, so when I touched down it took out two legs. Managed to balance it though. EVAd a bit, got back in and burnt back to kerbin with fuel to spare. Managed to parachute onto firm ground.
My rescue mission was a disaster. I fudged my circularisation burn, didnt have the fuel to correct it so ended up doing a droug parachute and engine assisted landing. but I was clear across the other side of the planet from poor bill kerman. I then mistakenly thought it was a good idea to fly bill to jebadia and co. however, the the flight handling of my pod in duna's atmosphere was poor and I crashed, killing poor bill. Least I know my rockets are consistently capable of reaching duna also give me an excuse to launch another rescue mission.
Ooh, this is great News. I did hope they would release it in time for x-mas, and it seems that they just might. I were also hoping that they would finally release Resources and mining, but I suppose tweakables and that tasty science lab will have to do for now. Ah, and expect another update on the adventures of the Kerbal Collective some time in the near future.
Apparently you cant land on Mun at over 4000Ms, i found that out the hard way last night. Im planning to re try tomorrow with a longer slow down burn. Do parachutes have much effect on Mun?
Exactly, for the mun I always kill my relative velocity until my path is straight down. then it's a simply matter of slowing down as you get close to the surface. An easy way to judge your distance as you get close is to look for your ships shadow.
