Ok - so i stripped apart my M$ office keyboard to find the nice little green LEDs sitting in serial with a 10K resistor, measuring across the lot reads 5V. Marvellous I though - Ill stick in some funky blue ones, change the resistors, and all will be hunky dory. Luckily i chose just to do scroll lock for the time being - replaced Rs, LEDs - nothin - not even a faint glow. Hmm I though - Ill drop the R, let some more current throoo. Still nuffink. Sod it, I thort, Ill just stick the old ones back in - and the LED lit up ! Whats goin on here ? is the resistor part of a voltage bridge or something, cos its messin wiv me head - although all the LEDs have now been blooified, and it looks cool.
