So I'm in the market for a new keyboard, mouse and mouse pad, I'll be using it on my new desk mod (project log in my signature). My desk has the theme black and red so I realy want everything to match.

Keyboard: I'm looking for something like the Logitech G110, a backlit keyboard that has a good fealing to it. A USB port on the back is also a very welcome feature. I'm open to suggestions on cheaper/better priced things.

Mouse: Here I got no idea what to get, I always used a standard logitech mouse to game. I would like something normaly fast and accurate, I don't need pro gamer speeds though ;) , more than 3 keys is a plus.

Mouse Pad: Since I have a glass top on my desk I need a mouse pad to use my mouse. It realy needs to be something with a red/black color and around 25cm (~10inch) wide.

I'm realy open to suggestions since I have no idea what to buy, I always used normal keyboards priced around 15€ and a mouse of 7€ so :)

What is your budget for keyboard and mouse? I would recommend the Filco tenkeyless keyboard and a logitech G700 mouse.

Keyboard: 70€ (altough I think its alot of monney just for a keyboard)
    Mouse: 30-40€
    Mouse pad: 10-20€

Like I said, I don't realy need anything pro gamer stuff. So I'm realy after looks and good handeling :)

    Keyboard:

Cyborg V5. Although not mechanical I'm 99% certain mine has red back lighting so would fit in with your colour theme rather nicely. It's also not as offensively ugly as some of the "gaming" keyboards out there. It also falls in your price bracket.

I desperately want a mechanical keyboard but don't own one yet so I can't recommend one on those grounds alone (but they sound awesome)

    Mouse:

Just got my new Logitech G400 and thoroughly pleased with it. comfortable, cheap, accurate, and has some thumb buttons should they take your fancy. Everything I ever need in a mouse

    Mouse Pad:

I have a steel series one and its massive. Probably a bit too big for what you want. If your going for a desk mod you might want something more rigid. I have a Mionix one that I really like. Looks smart but it doesn't do the red/black colour scheme I'm afraid. It is however around the dimensions your looking for.

I would recommend a mechanical keyboard over any other by a long shot, however if you really just cannot afford it, then I'd say the Cyborg isn't a bad shout, not crazily pricey, and I had it's predecessor, and it did the job (although nowhere nearly as well as a mechanical ;) )

Mouse wise, I'm currently using a CMStorm Sentinel, which I love, nice weight, size, and well positioned side buttons.
Previous to that I used a Razer Diamondback 3G, which I liked aswell, although I would say the CMStorm is better.

I currently use a Steelseries QCK+ I think it is? Tis a good size, although I am looking to 'upgrade' to one which convers the entire desk, so both my keyboard and mouse would sit on it.

That Cyborg V5 might be something for me, it looks nice. How are the audio controls on it? My current keyboard doesn't work all the time when I press pause and stuff.

The Razor mouse also looks promising, do they have a budget series?

Do you guys have any experience with the Cyborg R.A.T. 3 ? I realy like the looks of it, but I'm just scared it wouldn't feel good.

I've never used the media controls on the Cyborg in truth :duh:. I forgot it even had them. Everything else works fine so I don't see why they wouldn't.

I hated the profile of my RAT7! Tried all of the options but in the end I went back to Logitech, you just can't best them! The main function I missed the most is the free spinning wheel :)

Mechanical keyboards are so worth it if you can afford it! If not then I can't really help.

I'd go the same but with a g500 instead of the 400 as i feel as though I would prefer more buttons on mine.

I've been searching for a place to buy a cyborg v5 keyboard but can't find any shop! The shop where I usually buy don't sell them.
I've found some shops that sell them but I need a azerty one (Yes we use that azerty in Belgium ;) )

Any suggestions on shops? I would realy prefer some cheap shipping costs/free shipping if I order some more stuff.

Could you not swap the keys around?

Yeah I guess I could, but I don't want to break the keyboard by accident.

Each key row is different in height and shape....
