meh. And this represents reality how exactly ?

I don't get it. Either the situation is a thousand times worst in the UK or you guys just needed to vent about 1 or 2 kids that annoy you.

I might also be blind to the world surrounding me

    who knows

Reality? These are people from all over the UK that just so happened to contact that show 'looking for help' they have enough to run a show every week with more than 1 guest, and these are the people that bother to call the show, how many more are out there?

    You tell me.

3 years national service from the age of 17 and I would be happy, sure it wouldn't fix everything but it would show these ****bags that civvy street isn't the worst place on earth.

A small proportion of the time it's not the persons fault that they are financially unstable/in need of help

Take me as an example. Age 24 with 2 kids, (part-time) solo father. Why? In a long relationship we were financially stable enough to have kids. We were ready, so we did.

Long story short we ended up separating (for the love of god please don't pull the 'you should have seen it coming bulls**t), and myself being financially drained due to having to find a place at short notice, then the ensuing custody battles. I've been so close to losing work because the boss couldn't deal with me not being there (seeing lawyers, court, sorting out a safe home for my kids).

Just because someone is in a certain situation does not automatically make it their fault.

If you're going to whinge about how certain groups act/behave? Ignore them. Simple as that.

Mate you live in new Zealand. dam what the population 4 mil at a push. You live where i dream, the UK's main problem is it's too over crowded hence a lot of the social problems we face the country is stretched to the max

But do you mouth off to people about it? Are you acting as if it's everybody elses fault? I for one would give you the benefit of the doubt and say no, you wouldn't. It's not necessarily that it's their fault, it's the attitude, the blaming it on everyone else BUT themselves. Just because somebody hasn't made problems for themselves doesn't mean they can't pick themselves up and do their best to help themselves out, our lives may never be perfect but we can do our best for ourselves and still retain our manners and respect for those around us, wether they deserve it or not.

I daresay in cases it is seriously dramatized, however from experience there are worse out there, perhaps it's more of a problem in the UK but it's not my place to assume such things.

jeremy kyle is our version of jerry springer, i take neither seriously.
There's alot of attention/3 minutes of fame seekers out there that would gladly go onto a show like that, problems or no problems.

TBH I may whinge a little - nothing like a good vent, but I dont go blaming my problems on anyone (well...except the ex!).

As an undergrad I am constantly shocked at the attitudes of fellow students. People who spend three years going out every night and getting hammered, then complain they have no money. People who relish the idea of finishing university so they can sit on their asses getting unemployment benefits. Without the aid of a half pint of vodka many of them don't even have rudimentary social skills. It honest to god shocks me how different their attitudes are to mine. I'm 22 now and I've held a job since 14, while at university I work to help bring in a little extra money and over the summer I work to help afford the next years tuition. After 3.5 years of university I am in the happy position of not owing anyone anything. I just don't get it :(

I'm convinced that every generation since Adam has said the same things. Nothing new here.

Bugs me too mate, absolutly does my head in, just feels like my taxes are wasted on the people I work for now!

(Amazingly we just discovered a con-artist trying to scam cash out of us)

Actually I don't. Around my area the elderly and 40+ all speak correctly, they don't spit on the floor, throw chewing gum, disrespect property. While alot of others under 40 and especially around my age don't seem to have any respect. Honestly we aren't all bad, this thread proves that nicely! But to say most are good, is an over-statement mate. Most kids these days are disrespectful to everything and anything. Notice MOST and Kids are those with the mental age of under 17... when they're 25.

haha, What does Jeremy Kyle watch on TV when he's sick?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates my generation(I'm 20). I want to punch a good majority of the people my age in the head. I can't blame 100% of that on them though... I am what some people would call antisocial/angry/rage incarnate.

And I bet you those people who are 40+ used to do what this generation is doing now. Do you think, during the Punk era everyone was all happy and dandy doing nothing? You seem to be turning a bit ignorant to be honest.

Then there is definitely a problem in your area or something because this is not a problem where I live. I'm being really honest.

no no, the situation in the UK is awful believe me. It's rare I see a guy/girl my age who actually has respect for anything around them or their own lives. it's crap.

Indeed, I've always said this... but alas, with budget cuts, it'd never get passed now

you're an old bugger shurrup :p I jest, The comment was meant for... "When did the previous generation give up on the morals they were taught?" Nexxo can probably attest for them being taught by the generation who did bloody everything themselves, so what changed? it isn't all of them, just a few who've unfortunatly made the next generation (make it so...) awful to deal with.

Plus Bindi, don't make me label you "Captain Old Pants Bindi..." Because it will happen :p
