For this mod I wanted to put a couple of LED's into my teddybear as it's eyes and use it as a lamp and/or attraction on LANs and such. (Idea gotten from the norwegian overclockers-forum by a guy with the name of Papirpose. All credits to him, and his WORKING mod... CyBear ) The subject: The mad doctor about to operate: Poor little thing: Inside out: LEDs attached: LED's soldered: As this is the disaster mods category , you've probably guessed that the sh*tty thing didn't work. Not really sure why, as I'm missing a multimeter and these were my last two LEDs... (Gotta go shopping for both meter and new LEDs...) So the last picture is of the mad doctor, grieving over the loss of his beloved teddybear (which is now both blind and gutless, no pun intended...)!
So, you're making his eyes glow? This could be really funny if you have a little sister or brother. You could put the teddy on her/his shelf, and have some wires attached so you can make the eyes glow when you want to. And to draw attention to it, put a buzzer or electric motor in it to make some noise.

No offense but, are you nuts? The bear is SUPPOSED to be geeky, it's the whole essence of doing a "mod" like this... Me, the geek and my geekbear on a geek-LAN filled with other similar minded people. Does it get better? (Yes, if the damn thing had actually been working!) Guess someone hasn't dared to come out of the closet and into the light with his geekness! (I know I have!)

Yeah, but the bad taste bears are all enamel or whatever... Last think I knew, they don't do any soft plush ones.... or do they? ... /me clicks the damn link instead of being lazy But yeah, geekbear with glowing eyes, that would be pretty cool ....although at one of our LAN games, he might get set alight ... Either that, or someone would point the bear at someone then hook up the power for his LED's to the 12v line from their PSU, and hope the shrapnel does some damage.... Our LAN games are held at someone's house so they can normally descend into a drunken frenzy... It's fun cramming 8-14 PC's into someone's house, then lying network cable everywhere for some drunken geek to trip on (or if you're me, you spill Guinness on the network switch )... you soulda taken the last pic with an ice cold beer then it woulda been a success. and that bear dont look geeky
bad taste bears yeah if you go in to the gadget shop chain they have plush ones too (uk based that is)
