Finally someone agrees with me. Dont get me wrong, I like the new UI of XP but the OS is so poorly made in my opinion. I constantly get lock ups and half-life always freezes if you dont launch it just right. Win 98SE never crashed on me and is the best for games and 2000 is the most stable OS ever for any app. I will wait till XP gets a little better with the bugs. Did you ever realize how many vunrabilities it had, just go run windows update and you can see how man updates it has to download to protect your computer from attacks. Finally, I do think you should build your gf a decent pc. I built my gf one and painted it yellow, put a window in it with a ccfl and used a very small atx case. I also painted the Fox Racing symbol on the top, because she loves it so. I spent $90 dollars on it for new parts and everything else was taken out of scrap machines. dont get me wrong, i would love to build her a good pc but being a student with a ****ty job ( pays $50 australian a fortnight) i dont have much $$$ to go around once i fill up my motorbike for the fortnight
