Well since Dan from Knightlight out in the UK posts in this forum I couldn't see a better place to post this . Just thought I would show what I did with one his units that you can purchase here. Took a while to get here from the UK, but well worth it! http://www.knightlight.co.uk/knight-rider-light-module-chains.htm The blue led unit was chosen to match this capture from The Never Ending Story. The unit was mounted underneath a cdrom and is about 8inches or so away from the fan. In real life it makes the chrome fan have a rich dark blue glow to it, and projects the image to the wall behind it and it rocks side to side. Here is the link to the video. Make sure that you have your brightness up high enough on your monitor because digital video cameras do not pick up things well in the dark. There will be one dark scene where it is showing the projection of the oracles onto the wall behind my computer. <sarcasm>OMG sequals ROCK, What ROCKS even more is when they EDIT the ORIGINAL and put in STUFF that doesn't BELONG. </sarcasm> Cool mod... From the pics, you could use a diffuzer.. or put the lights a bit closer to the target... Still cool...
Actually about the defuser/distance I played around with the distance factor until it gave the fullest lighting of the grilles. -bliz
