hi there AS above seriosuly considering watercooling and im thinking of getting the KOOLANCE EXOS please reply with your views/opinions asap because im gonna order this week if im sure
I don't know about the EXOS, but I've had a PC2-601BW for about a year and a half now, and had no problems with it. I have a CPU-200G cooler on the CPU, and two chipset coolers in the loop, only one of which is being used on the NB since I upgraded my video card recently (the other is just hanging loose as I don't have the clips and tubing to re plumb the system ATM) Getting at the radiator to clean dust off it is a pain in the arse, and changing out the coolant is also a bit fiddly. I got (on my old CPU) temps between 38C and 45C depending on when I'd last cleaned off the radiator and what the ambient temps were. The system ran perfectly stable and still is. The only thing at the moment being that I need to give the system a good clean out, as I seem to have crud in my tubes, but that will have to wait until I get paid. (in fact, I'm looking for ideas on cleaning solutions for the inside of a watercoling loop. Alkali solutions are out with it having an Al radiator and NB block.) Oh, and for all of those wincing at the thought of somebody not building their own watercooling system (shock! Horror!) then all I have to say is It is a lot quieter than my old air cooling setup, I didn't want the hassle of shopping around for bits and then fighting them to get them where I wanted and it does the job I want it to, so there End rant
koolance exos ne good? had mine for bout a year now but sellin it cos i gettin a sff case (wud look weird wiv koolance sat on top! lol). wud say its v good kept me 2500 barton at bout 29 deg c even when overclocked to a 3200 in the summer!
As the first two respondents show they do work. But they are no better than a high end air solution so far as performance goes, they are much better for noise of course. But a cooling loop built by selection of the best parts for each portion of the cooling loop will result in a much higher performing set up. And will be just as low noise or better while doing it. And it's not that hard to research the best parts for each chip to be cooled along with rad and pump choices.
