Koolance's ATI Waterblock Has anyone checked out any of the Koolance Hydra-Pak setups yet? Looks good as an idea, but not certain if it is really that much more helpful or even worth the cost. This is just one of their Hydra-Pak blocks I have seen out... they also have them for HD cooling. Opinions?
Looks good, but probubly gonna cost quite a bit- i would still go either for a Danger Den one, or a Fatal1ty hsf and ram sinks. MAnkz
The hydra-pack cooler is only on the back of the video card. On the front, there's the usual ram and CPU blocks. If you've got a card with RAM on the back, or the Rage Theater chip, the hydra-pack system is great. Just make sure to leak test it before you put it on your card: Koolance had some trouble with quality control on their early ones. As with most other Koolance gear, the hydra-pack cooler is designed for a low-flow, small-bore system. Don't expect to have one of them and a Swiftech Storm on the same loop and get decent performance from the Storm.
Thanks for the input. I was curious mostly because of the clock on my ATI X800 Pro card right now... the GPU handles pretty well w/ the ATI Silencer that is on it now, but... the RAM still gets overly hot @ times... so I have to keep a few profiles in ATItool to keep it where it needs to be based on what I am doing. I am familiar with other options, but really had not checked out the Koolance stuff much yet.
