http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2011/06/23/la-noire-announced-for-pc/1 Really, really, really glad they're doing this. Maybe they'll bring RDR to the PC now too?+ Discuss EDIT: Just seen there's already a news post for this, changed link accordingly.
Ouch, really? That's exactly the kind of attitude that's hurting PC gaming so much lately. And then people compain about consolitis... geez.
I'm sure you're making a valid point, but I don't understand what it is. I am a PC gamer, but would have been prepared to buy a console in order to play the game rather than not play it at all. I am now pleased I will be able to play it on my chosen platform after all. What exactly were you trying to tell me?
Can't wait for this game, I resisted buying it for my console (which I haven't used in over a year), due to having a hunch that it would be ported over. I'm very glad they have done so too, its the right move forward.
lol That's funny. Too true This just makes it more likely that they aren't bringing red dead out on PC...which is the one I want on PC. Didn't really get the impression that I'd like LA Noire
Pretty glad about this. Was thinking ot getting it on my PS3, but it just seems like a game that would be better on PC. This could go 2 ways. - It could look even more impressive and the facial features thing is even better (sitting closer to the screen will be much easier) - It could be another crappy cop out of a port for the PC
Rockstar is always bizzare about its releases. ever since consoles took over, it's always first, with a pc port maybe at some later time. Some of them really are later, like Bully which was what, like 3 years after the console version. But we never did see a pc version of Red Dead Revolver, so I'm not holding my breath for Redemption either. As for L.A. Noire, I might play it once it's out on pc. As long as they don't tack on a bunch of annoying crap like GTA 4. Please no GFWL.
Listen, I understand that some don't want to and/or don't have to deprive themselves from playing something just because it's only console only, but that's not the point, I wasn't making any personal attacks. What I was trying to illustrate is simply that a big reason we're seeing alot of games either not released for PC at all, or released late and almost invariably always cheaply ported is that PC gamers will just buy it for console anyway, or put up with garbage ports because they don't have a choice. The devs and publishers win, why should they ever invest in developing for PC, or even bothering porting the game if they can swing all their sales over to consoles?
Yeah, good news. I was looking forward to buying this for my XBox, now I can wait for the PC version and really look forward to playing it on a proper format.
I'm about 1/4 way through this on the Xbox. Now I'm going to wait for the PC version to complete it. Why do we always have to wait so long?
I wish they made Alan Wake on PC. I thought I could even buy a console to play it, but when I tried it for few minutes on xbox, I changed my mind. Consoles suck big time for me.
Was looking to get this at some point.. Any info of if it'll be on Steam? I'd like to pick it up cheap when it goes on sale somewhere down the line. I just hope it's not as badly optimised as GTAIV or I may not be able to run it.
Have been looking at getting this for my 360 since release, but think I will hang fire for the PC version.
I honestly think if there was something I was going to get upset about with my pc; it's that it can't play red dead. Although my PS3 is an excellent paper weight now my av is in for repair.
Good to see PC getting some more titles, I have a couple of games that i want but have no console currently. One off the list.. how repetitive does this game get?
