Hi together, today I like to start with a small "in-between" project. The name of the project: "Lady Liberty". In the torch is a E14 bulb sockett. That will be unchanged. I've got a notion that she was hollow. If not I got a lot of things to do. The pics: My ideas for the back: - In the upper area a perforation for the circulation - The lower area (green) will be cut and mount with hinges out will be replaced with a plain Backplate. Maybe I mount some feet to rise the hole thing a little bit. Than I can make a input for the air. Of course with filter in front of it.
She sure is, had the pleasure of seeing the mini one in Paris. A gift to the people of the USA for winning their independance if memory serves me correctly?
Today I take a look under her skirt. First some moderate beats with a claw hammer... ... than regardless of the consequences. For the beginning is a rough handling ok. A picture from a Koloskopie ?
Did you take that last pic with a endoscope? Yikes. Looks like you'll have som space issues but good luck.
Snow again??? I think it's clean enough This is a Rest from the Projekt "Rocklander". Now I have to look for the right place.
UPDATE! Today I got the PSUs. (25,5 x 6,5 x9 cm) Fore only 3,99€ I take two. Is always useful to have cheap spare parts. I want to use only one Powercord for the PC and the torch. Therefore... An old connector is exact what I need. After the drawing... ... and a view minutes with the DREMEL... ...it fits like a glove. Here the inner-view: At this point: Thanks DREMEL for your assistance.
And it goes on... To share the power I use this clamps Thin arrangement will be perfect. The flow: The switch will be mount on the back. For that I first mark the position... ... an drill the biggest possible hole. 13mm. After the drill I use a 90° countersink... ..and a Dremel with a 9904 Tungsten Carbide Cutter. I use the counterbore as an "optical guidance" Done UPDATE Next Step: "The cable channel" I think the pictures says enough. For a better visual appearance I use some self-adhesive felt. I also is some kind of protection for the cables.
Just an accident. I think only to glue it will no be strong enough. Therefore I remove the bushing... ...and open up the channel a little. First with the Dremel... ...than with a 13mm drill. Why that? Its easy. I have here rest of a copper pipe that I will use as an reinforcement. First I cut the elbows... ...than I clean the edges. After a little bit of bending: The break in the upper arm with the pipe inside, the wrist... ...and the bottom of the torch. Tomorrow more.
At least it's beginning to look even more like the real statue of liberty this way, aside from it having a steel (iron?) skeleton with copper skin
