Only thing they need is the Bulgin name on the packaging.

Huh. Any idea how these compare to the Bulgins?

Sure! Generally how knockoffs compare to originals! :hehe: Seriously, I'm sure they work fine.

I've tried one of these (more specifically the 16mm one, smaller than the bulgin). There are actually quite a few differences.

The lamptron uses colored plastic for the led, while the bulgin uses clear.
The lamptron is smoother, while the bulgin is more angular.
The lamptron button has more travel and a click at the end, while the bulgin travel is short with more of a thud at the end.

In person the lamptrons look a bit different than bulgins, not bad tho, I think I actually prefer the lamptron look slightly. However, I think the lamptron button travel is too long.

My main problem with the lamptron, however, is that attempting to solder wires to it melted the innards until it no longer worked and I'm actually pretty decent at soldering.

Any links as to where they can be purchased? I might be interested if they are a bit less expensive than the Bulgins, and can be found in Canada.

I got it from performance-pcs by acccident. They are slightly cheaper than bulgins can be had, but I won't be getting one ever again.

Screw (though not available in such from Performance-PCs AFAICS) or 2.8mm tag, but 2.8mm is not the most common of push-on connector sizes...

Shouldn't that be ROHS Compliant rather than Complaint?
