I have a PC65 Lan-Li case which is sweet and worth every penny, but the usb ports at the bottom.... how the heck do i you use them? i heard a rumor you had to solder somthing onto your mobo but that doesnt sound like a good idea. as it is i have 4 ports 2 onboard and two on a little blanking plate thingy that plugs into mobo (asus a7v133). Is there anyway i can keep my current setup and just add the 4 at the front?

Im still waiting for Komplett to send back replacement bits for the dodgy ones they sent me, i sent them back over a week ago and they havent told me much and get mad when i email them asking about my products, well im sorry if you dont like getting emails every day about returns do some fecking work!

Mine are just there for decoration as the Mobo I have is a Gateway proprietary one. All of the jumpers have been rearranged and the instructions included say " this is a FDC..this is IDE 1 this is IDE 2..." and that is about as detailed as it gets...

Check your manual or board to see if they have the pin outs for the extra USB!

ya, this is a common prob.....most people dont realize that there basicially useless...at least all 4 anyway, as msot motherboards dont have the headers to support all 4 of them.....all is not lost though, its easy enought to mod the thing with a home made setup, or using the space to hold the usb stand off board that comes with some mb's...

You can easily use two of the 4 at the front, instead of having the blanking plate on the back. All you need to do is connect the front panel USBs instead of the backplate. You may need to rewire the Lian-Li's connector, but it's not a soldering job. Just unclip the wires from the plastic connector, and put them in in the right order.

so you mean i can use four in place of the 2 back ones? that sounds like a good idea, i'll see what i can do. I may well just buy an external usb (powered) hub i can get a nice belkin one thru work for £15

No. You can use two of the four on the front in place of the two on the back. It is likely that your motherboard only supports 4 USB total. You can't use all four.

I am building an nForce system that will use a Lian-Li PC60U. My motherboard, the MSI K7N420 Pro, has all the extra USB headers to enable the use of these frontside ports.

Good choice in cases... got mine for 140 us dollars after shipping and handling....
