Im having a very small LAN party next week, with 6 people.
Now we have two routers, each with four ports on the back.
If I connect the two routers via a cable from one port on the back to another on the other one, will this let us play on the same network? Is it just regular cat5 cable? Also will my PC be enough (Athlon 64 3800+, 1gig RAM, x800xt) to host the game (cs1.6, half-life 1 and other mods, and quake 3) for five people, and play on it too?

The router thing should work :)
If the routers are older models, you MAY need to use a crossover cable, but it's very unlikely.

as for net access, if you don't use DHCP you can have some people going over one routers net connection, and say 2 on the other one.

all you have to do is set the default gateways apropriately.
