Hey guys. I went to the last one and it was really good. It was the first lan I went to and yes it maybe only 50 people but it was good fun to get into Lanpartys. I was scared about my stuff being damaged but Every one has respect for others etc.

The second one is from the 3rd-5th of november. Would be great to see some of you lot come to it. REMOVED is the website and if you go to gallery you can see the photos that i took from the last one.

Lincoln eh? Only an hours bus ride away...

What do you guys play? I'm not much of a LAN gamer (my LAN sessions generally start with a bit of UT, then we hit BF1942 and next thing we know it's 8:00am).

I suggest you check out TFF (www.thefragfactory.co.uk)

Similar kind of atmosphere, and they're always after some new faces. Maybe you can be the first to manage to take me out at UT2004, which is currently a running joke at TFF :D

I went for my first time to This lanparty (the first event) i went with my cousin but everyone is friendly and staff are there to help out. You should really come along its great fun especially if its your first lan.

Ok that's enough of the free pimping thank you. I don't mind threads about LANs and allowing others to post theres and comment about where they recommend going and meeting up but this is silly.

The thread won't be re-opening, either - if it was for a thread for discussion of LAN party events, you wouldn't be asking people to 'stay on topic' whenever they mention similar types of events. Posting the advert for the lan event and asking people to come along is hardly 'discussing' it either.

That you mention your mobile number being on the lansoap site to me indicates that you're in some way affiliated with the event, and your posts thus far smack of blatant promotion. These forums are *not* intended to be a place for your free advertising.

I have removed all links to the event in question for this reason, as the thread whilst closed would otherwise still serve as an advertising message.

I have no problem with you promoting such an event via a small link in your signature, whether you are affiliated with it or not, but to have discussion threads that are just poorly disguised advertising is not acceptable.
