Cooling lapped my ultra-120 extreme (pics and temp results)

    That's because you need to download and install speedfan 4.33 and then download SpeedFan 4.34 beta 44 to run the quad core version.

    SpeedFan 4.34 beta 44 and CoreTemp are the exact same now.

    thx alot for sharing this, i am one of those guys that had no idea what lapping was untill i clicked. I'm learning every day. :D

    As for the time spent vs. gains... when was time ever a factor for a good modder? there's mods on this forum that took years. On this very same forum people get commended for chroming the inside of their PSU. Lapping even has a function, and a damn good one too.

    Also, a CPU is either stable or it isn't. There's no middle ground, because nobody will accept a 50% stable processor. So those 2.0 degrees could really mean a 100% increase in performance, and thus be VERY important to the average OCer.
