Looking for a bit of laptop advice, I'm totally confused my all of the options available AMD CPU's, Intel Core i3/i5/i7 and the multitude of different graphics cards.

Ideally I'm looking for something fairly portable, I've been looking at the Samsung Q330 which seems highly regarded but I'm a bit concerned by the Intel Integrated Graphics and no discreet GPU at all as I'd like some basic gaming performance.

I've also taken a look at a few HP notebooks which have a mix of Intel i3/i5 or even some AMD CPU's.

My question is what sort of CPU should I be looking for is there a massive difference between i3/i5 or the AMD Triple / Quad core mobile processors?

Also can I get any sort of basic gaming from an inbuilt Intel HD graphics processor, mainly thinking Football Manager, and maybe something like Red Alert, The Sims and some other strategy / management games rather than things like Call of Duty.

Ideally want something fairly small, 13 - 16" as I would be wanting to carry my laptop with me when I am travelling, looking to spend between £400 and £650 but could go a little higher if the extra cost was warranted.

why don't you go and check out http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ they sell a large range of laptops for a good price and provide a excerlent service

here are a few i picked out:
    http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Sony_VAIO_EB2Z0E-BQ_Core_i3_Laptop_in_Black_VPCEB2Z0EBQ/version.asp
    http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Lenovo_ThinkPad_Edge_Core_i5_Laptop_in_Black_NVL7XUK/version.asp
    http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ASUS_K52JC_Core_i5_Laptop_K52JC-EX089V/version.asp

i also recomend that you stay away from HP and acer as there laptops don't last very long what so ever

and you need something a little more than a intel HD graphics processor as they are terrible for any use of gaming

also check out the dell outlet http://outlet.euro.dell.com/Online/InventorySearch.aspx?brandId=7&c=uk&cs=ukdfh1&l=en&s=dfh you can usually get some preety good deals like this one http://outlet.euro.dell.com/Online/...=1152&categoryId=SA&c=uk&cs=ukdfh1&l=en&s=dfh

I'm looking for something mainly for browsing, video and music that I can take with me as I travel every week so I will need to take it alongside my work laptop.

I'd like to be able to play some games but the most taxing on the CPU is likely to be Football Manager 2011 as its that and maybe some strategy titles like Red Alert and Hearts of Iron that I would want to play rather than anything like COD 4, although the option to play some older games would be nice.

Been advised to avoid HP and Acer although I did like the look of some of the HP laptops, not too sold on Dell as my work one keeps breaking down.

Do like the look of the Samsung Q330 and Q430 but was a bit put off by the integrated graphics, that said I've also considered a Macbook / Macbook Pro but ultimately they are just too expensive for what you get although the 13" would be a nice size.
