I'm at university and I will be doing alot of commuting so I'm buying a laptop over a new desktop. Here are 2 choices I have, I'm kinda made up on the pentium m as it has better power usage, but I'd like to hear your opinions. https://sslrelay.com/s84957758.onea...=26slash=3Bfont=3E+=28LKN=3AGBR-141200-007=29 Amilo A 1630D £ 889.01 https://sslrelay.com/s84957758.onea...0070_Amilo+M+1437G+=28LKN=3AGBR-177100-002=29 Amilo M 1437G £ 930.6
I think the second one's the best option, you're best spending the extra now because you can't really upgrade a laptop. Both are good though, but you might regret buying a less powerful one.
No, I mean it as in don't buy shoddy laptops, they won't last. As far as I can see those two laptops are both good and it's a tough decision because of that. For me, size and weight are the biggest factors. I just prefer to have a centrino laptop, they run a lot cooler and are surprisingly fast.
I found this one with a amd turion 1.8Ghz, what do you think? https://sslrelay.com/shopacer.co.uk...er+Aspire+5024WLMI+=28LX=252EA4605=252E078=29 Its about £60 cheaper with a crystalbrite tft, 100gig hdd and free dilvery.
I think I'm gonna go for the acer. It's cheaper, 20gigs more HDD space, better screen, 64-bit processor and free delivery, seems like a good deal.
Wish you were in the USA If you were here in the USA we could have certainly helped you. We are trying to get 10,000 people together to buy laptops so that they can get a fantastic group price. More at http://gnode.com for both Windows and Linux laptops.
