Probably not, most laptop keyboards are just the sensor raster without a controller, the controller is mounted on the motherboard.

To get a lappy keyboard to even work slightly over PS/2 or USB you need a controller made for the keyboards raster.

Another thing is that the lappy keyboard has the numpad integrated onto the letter keys with an extra alt-key to activate numpad, so the controller needs to be made to recognize this too.

Go to a reasonably large local computer fair.

There will be at least one dealer selling laptop-style keyboards in
all the usual flavours (PS/2, USB, IR, & RF) for under £20. I saw
exactly this at Bowlers, Manchester a few weeks ago.

Even Maplins stock some of the cabled varieties.

Kustompcs.co.uk sell the coolermaster ali keyboard which is USB and laptop style... Not as small (there's a number pad), but same feel.

Or just get one of these: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2282,CONTENTID=6636

It says its for PS2 but I bought one of these because It was usb for the PS2 and was cheap (I payed $20 at circut city) and tiny. I plugged it into my computer and it works great, its what Im on now. Perfect for lans and just not cluttering desks. This has the same keys/ feel as a laptop keyboard. Great Product
