Hi chaps, I know this is a long shot... ...but my old A60-106 won't start. Sometimes used to run for a moment, then switch off. So I suspected overheating, but now it just won't start. So I wondered, for a start, check for the CMOS battery? Now, it's not obvious where this battery is, even an internet search is turning nothing up for me. I will give it a compressed air blast too, but thought I'd change this CMOS battery. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Both seem like good ideas, doesn't sound hopeful though. How far does it get when you try to turn it on?
does the charge light work? have you thought about the possibility that the power socket might be damaged?
I have a friend with the same problem as yours, am also interested in fixing this kind of problem.. any other solutions?
