Hey guys, sorry to trouble ya.... but......... i rememeber reading about somebody who had sandwiched a laptops guts inside 2 peices of acrillic or plexi, and then vnc'd it so they could monitor temps and stuff. i just cant remember who did it? and where it is? any1 help??
I have a question kind of pertaining to this I guess, I just got my hands on an old dell laptop, I wanna gut it and mount the screen on the wall or something and mount the keyboard away from the actuall guts of the computer, how much work is involved there? I suck at soldering tiny wires, is there like 1500 or something that I have to do or is this something I can actually consider? Its been a while since I've seen a laptops guts, I would just need to lengthen the cables from the screen to the controller and the board to the keyboard right?
Why dont you just use a PS2 keyboard or USB keyboard with it ? Why bother extending that ribbon cable ?
I wanna stick with the little tiny keyboard, and even if I don't that doesn't answer my question, I can't just use a ps/2 moniter cable.
