I wonder what would happen if a unit were to have a fault all of a sudden? You'd be watching Ainsley Harriet tossing something in a salad bowl then next thing you know, you've had your eyebrows singed off by a stray laser.

Sounds good though, particularly the price point.

Sounds interesting. A little more fact and figures would be good.

Why would a laser TV be likely to develop a fault whereby it automatically switched to an Ainsley Harriott programme?

    Oh...wait... :D

I think he was referring to the weight and power consumption of a CRT.

I'll believe it when I see it.

"Press Release" technology always sounds great, but it's a whole nother story to get that stuff actually out on the market.

I'm still waiting for my Organic LED TV...

Sounds promising, hope it turns out, but I definitely won't hold my breath.

Even if it's half the cost to produce there will be some "profit taking" before the price drops to a "decent" level

Is it terrible that I am more sceptical about this because it comes from Australia ;)? Wasn't the most complicated bit of tech to come of out Oz the clothes line?

    *shakes fist*

Go to that ITWire article, and you can see it in action compared to a Plasma TV. There REALLY is alot of difference.

Well in my defence was anyone even aware they had a tech industry? Well it certainly looks good if it comes to fruition :) Kudos to the guys behind the tech!

Don't mean to sound negative but it's yet just ANOTHER marketing ploy to try to sway some sponsors in their direction. I have heard sooo many "our new technology is going to revolutionise TV's" I am getting sick of it.

OLED, SED & FLCD Televisions anyone?... Lets add Lazer TV's to that list.

Much like Aggies said, I will not be holding my breath for this one. Time to buy me one of those 1080p Pioneer 50 inch plasma sets ... dream.
