Motherboard, CPU, and small SSD for the underpinnings of a new Micro-ATX gaming build and an additional 21TB of storage for my media server.

It really pains me to think that even before this addition of another £750 of HDDs, the total value of hard drives in that "server" and the very expensive raid card I had to get to cope with the sheer number of disks I'm up to now; costs more than any other rig I've ever built.

and I've not even begun to think about Christmas expenditure...

How so soon?!?!? Its an 8 week wait in the UK!

 

I tried one finally in a shop at the weekend - it is very nice! Looks much classier than the Samsung Galaxy S3 (which looks like a plastic toy to be honest). I really want one now, but there's no hope of getting one before February next year to be realistic... (at Google's prices anyway)

at which point the S4 will be 2 months away!

 

5 meters of VGA cable and a set of IR extenders. I will be hiding all of the devices in the living room in a cabinet and relegating an old laptop to XBMC duty.

Just got a Play3 and bridge package.

Files are indexing my music. However I am also backing up all of my music to my NAS drive because I'm not sure sonos will like my computer being turned off.

So I have it working now. I can play off my phone, and my PC using both to make play lists, which is VERY cool.

However on the bad news front, the PLAY3 does not have a line in option so I cannot link the system up to my TV until I can afford the next piece of kit.... This could get expensive.

Sonos 5 has been great, such quality and polish. Except it does not like my SMB share, looses the share everytime I re-scan.

 

I'm actually after the connect as I have a fairly nice setup already.

But its just a game of priorities atm.

I need to have a serious think about where I am taking this because I'm eating into my snowboarding fund.

I've been tempted with the Play:3 deals around, but I can't for the life of my figure out where I would put it... the nursery is the only semi-valid option left

 

According to most sites here it will be 1-2 weeks from now in Germany. Fingers crossed they know what they're talking about!

I love my Nexus S but the battery is almost dead, the mic stopped working, it's pretty sluggish compared to new phones, the screen starts to feel too small and it, like most Samsung phones, feels so much like plastic it's not even funny. Time for a new phone.

I was thinking about switching camps to iOS for build quality, eco system and maturity but the price (679 Euros) put me off. Now I will get my Nexus 4 for 399 Euros. Still a bloody rip off compared to the US price of 349 $ (= 267 Euros) but value for money for an unlocked phone is still amazing.

Awesome, but why oh why did you get greens and not reds? With that many drives I can see you having issues with those greens, send em back and get reds.
