Part of this iPhone 4 spsares order was for me to repair a bargaintastic mint 32GB iP4 with only a minor signal issue that I bought off eBay on Christmas day. It arrived yesterday and is now repaired :) My 32GB 3GS finally gave up on me, and whilst it's still repairable, it's gotten to the point where I can't be bothered using the slow thing any more, so this is my new handset. I still have almost 12 months left on my current contract, with my one early upgrade already used (and given to Dad), so I won't be getting an iP5 any time soon. I have to say it's completely unimportant to me at this point though, I had a good play with an iP5 in the Apple store the other day and whilst it's nice, I still think it's completely overpriced for all that's changed. All these 4S owners upgrading to 5's is just silliness in my opinion.

Was moments away from rinsing the Mr Porter sale when I went to check out and most of what was in my basket went out of stock in the time I was browsing. Sacked off the whole lot in disgust :grr:

What happened to an item being reserved for a certain period of time once you put it in your basket?

Fully agree I see loads of people every day going from a 4s to an iphone 5 and i really don't see the point its not a big difference except on the price over all

Upgrading the iPhone at every iteration is a bit like going out and buying the latest graphics card every time a new model is released. Some people love to do it, and yes they will get the best experience at great expense, but for most of us every other generation provides more satisfying leaps in performance.

That said, Apple must rely heavily on early adopters.

I'm sure it is a thing - I've definitely seen messages like "X has been added to your basket and will be reserved for 15 minutes" on numerous other sites. It certainly should be a thing on places where there might only be one or two of a given item/size in stock.

On the plus side, it did prevent me from buying ~£1200 worth of clothes that I didn't really need. Was especially keen on a couple of jumpers though. Win some, lose some.

    (Not mine, but identical)

I now have a set of wheels again!

Managed to get it for 900 shiny gold coins :)

The wiring needs looking at under the boot door trim as the boot release button on the dash doesn't work and apparently the rear window heater doesn't work. It could also do with the rear bumper replacing as there is a crack on it, but I couldn't argue at the price. Hopefully the wiring's not too much of a job to sort.

It helps when it's all half price. A blazer, jumper, cardigan, polo, a couple shirts and pair of cufflinks to be precise.

With £245 worth of spares + the cost of the handset, couldn't you have bought a working one?

I'd imagine that comprised several phone repairs knowing Uni. :)

Fcuk Belt and toiletries set from boots in the sale worked out at £13 for all 3 and makes it a great deal for a decent belt
