Mine still has the shrouds. Should be fun to mod.

    An expensive weekend for me:

Sony KDL-40EX403 - 40" 1080p LCD with iPlayer, LoveFilm etc, eBay bargain. TP-Link 500Mbps powerline kit to get the above connected, £25.99 from PC World. And a Sandisk Cruzer Switch 16GB, just because it was £2.99.

Brick bolster, club hammer, safety specs, rigger gloves, brick/plaster trowels, plastering hawk, 50kg of multipurpose mortar, 25kg of finishing plaster, new 18v lithium ion drill (old one has ni-cd batteries that have failed and a clutch that's gone too), circular saw, razor wallpaper scraper, mixing bucket and wallpaper knife.

All the above and a few extra bits to remove woodchip from the entire hallway, up the stairs and across the landing, patch the plaster that comes off when the woodchip comes off, chip out the blown plaster and patch that.......... expensive month for DIY :jawdrop:

Circular saw is to cut up a free source of wood we've got access to and possibly cut plasterboard to shape/size if it turns out that i can't put plaster on the walls and smooth it out.

    Cambridge Audio DACMagic Plus

The CHORD Company Chameleon VEE 3 RCA cables

Christmas present to self. I'm a VERY happy camper, got both for $700 in a real bricks and mortar store.

Upgrading from a HDA XPLOSION 7.1 to the external DAC, the improvement is really noticeable. Mainly a complete lack of any hum or noise in the background and deeper tighter bass. Also sharper "focus".

You don't need a circular saw to cut plasterboard. You just score it with a Stanley knive & snap it. :thumb:

Pair of 5770s for the T7400. Wish they came with the long retention bracket, will just have to make my own.

A brand spanking new Playstation 3 Super Slim from a danish retailer for just 150£. It's the newest generation with a 12gb Flash Drive, but I can change that for a 500gig hybrid HDD/SSD drive I have lying around. The flash drive will then be used as a boot drive in my server.

I know the PS4 is out sometime this or next year, but I just need a cheap console for my projector.
