That sounds very interesting. I am wanting to do something similar for myself as well actually. Mind posting build photos and detailed info when you do it? Will any rotary switch work for selecting audio inputs or do you have to get one of a certain quality to keep the audio signal pure?
How will you power the rPi?

I'm wanting to build a box with an rPi and usb Dac in it and then a second box with an amp that will have a multiple input selector. I'd like to have the power supply internal so no external power brick needed. And may a power out to plug the rPi box in. Then I only have 1 power cord going to the wall outlet.

Ill be doing a log probably in modding rather than builds so ill let you know when it starts. In terms of the rotary switch it needs to be break before make so it ends the circuit before making a new one and three poles for + - and ground.
Powers from a 4A 5V DC power supply i have, ill be splitting it so it can power the Pi and its USB hub and a standalone hub.
The DAC is easily powerable youll just need to make sure the power supply is big enough.

Crusade was yesterday, so lots of toys. Got me a copy of Lunch Money (if you can find it, buy it. Suuuuuuuuch a good game! So very silly!) Dropzone Commander rulebook, a load of stuff for my Rapid Fire Fallschirmjager, including mg34's and kettenkrads, as well as a few ragtag mini's from Mongoose Publishings big ol' bin of preloved stuff.

Also bought too many nerf blasters, the latest being a Spectre, a Stampede, a Rampage, a Big Bad Bow, a Jolt, and a few others

What's the verdict Ficky? Worth the expense? I've been eyeing these up since the Kickstarter.

Got one a few days ago, nice bit of kit. The forums here seem a little stretched when viewing portrait for some reason, but overall I'm very please with it.
