Sounds like you've stepped up from the original spec I remember Uni - the last I remember is a track-day engine that would spend most of its time pottering about at 250-300hp. £25k on an engine alone is a huge sum, built by yourself or by a pro!

    Anyway, I've off-topic'd us enough!

Yep, you're right, and the original spec is still going to be the initial spec, but a track day engine is not capable of the power I'd like to eventually have on tap. For that, a professionally built race engine is required. Obviously I'm not going to hop straight into a 500bhp track car that will have cost me so much time and money to build and go hooning like there's no tomorrow, but if I ever want an engine that's capable of such power on the track, that's what it's going to cost, even if I only run it at a nice reliable 300-350 on a street map more than half of the time it's running at all. Also as the last few posts in this thread have demonstrated, I have made some major decisions regarding how to go about the project and where it's eventually heading, which have not yet made it into the planning thread.

    My latest purchase, a Canon E600 all-in-one.

Was recently retrenched, so needed this to print my resume, make copies of certs etc.
Canon gives a 3 years warranty and it comes with full ink cartridge (b/w and colour) - so a good buy.

That's nuffink, £147 for a months rail usage, although i know someone will pipe up with a higher amount for their monthly commute. And, as of 07:00 tomorrow morning, that will be my latest purchase.

My pass includes train usage between Wolverhampton and Birmingham.

Hoping my transfer comes soon. Will save me that money. Moving to local store.

Lovely! I'd like a bit more Nikon glass, I prefer the focus direction. That said I just (accidentally) de-clicked my Minolta 58mm 1.4, all I need to do now is drill a new adapter for it and it'll be back in service. Beautiful piece of glass!

I actually looked into that, German and English traditions there vary vastly. American ones vary even more, and then you get all the other cultures. It's actually quite crazy and led me to "no rules, really".
That said - It IS too big and will get resized next week.

Congrats! And yes, it's different basically on a country to country basis. Here in Denmark they have engagement ring on left hand and when married, move it to the right, for example.

Where's the pic of the smiling engaged couple? :)

Grand, glad it went well man!

Although I maintain that a garbage bag of weed or a lion cub would be equally interesting >.>
