It's a more practical version of a car that keeps my wife happy...

 

Nothing. They're pig ugly. I've never understood why car companies take a good looking small car (Mini, Fiat 500) and then stretch it in to something ridiculous (Fiat 500L as a good example).

 

I quite like the styling, even though from a description point of view (mini mixed with a jeep thats had an ugly baby) it sounds horrible.

I think its a little bit of the, its just a bit "fun" in the design. It does seem to go from cool to awful depending on the bodykit and colour pretty quick though.

 

I saw a Countryman today, it nearly reversed into me as I was driving down a lane and they were reversing out of their house.

My anger at their lack of eyesight was mitigated when I saw the "countryman" name across the entire boot lid.

Looked ****ing ridiculous.

 

I didn't really want to drag it down to endless replies of "I hate the Countryman"... Let's just leave it there.

Yeah, that's something I don't like either, that name badge is far too large. The one we are getting has had that removed and looks a lot cleaner.

 

Good call. Well any time you want to test drive it, you're welcome to drive down to Bromley to give me and my bike a pickup to take me 50 miles in some direction, I'm more than happy to been seen in one .

And sorry Kricket I wasn't trying to be all downer, my point was more, its better than it sounds on paper. Sort of like Beef Carpaccio .

This series looks interesting. I was contemplating picking it up couple of days ago after finishing Corey's Expanse books, but decided to get John Scalzi's Old Man's War series instead. I'm wrapping up The Last Colony atm, so I'll be needing a new series in couple of days. Think I'll look into Campbell's books again.
