3 packs of Waitrose boil in the bag kippers and butter, dated for the 27th, but miss-discounted to the total price of £1.20

Literally couldn't be any happier right now.

Yeah I can't fault YoYotech for customer service, also the fact they tried their absolute best to keep customers happy during their downtime.

I simply can't rely on Scan, to many times have I been let down with "out of stock" notifications at 9pm when I need things next day.

At least with YoYo I can rock down there and get it myself or they can provide me with an alternative, you speak directly to the people in the stock room so you know if they have something or not.

Let me know what the 850 is like, I was thinking of upgrading to them from the 840

Definitely worth the price difference, Green disks are rated for much lower usage than Red which are specifically designed for NAS use and to be run 24/7. A few of my green drives in the server have developed pending sector cautions after only a couple of years of use, and a couple more have actually failed and had to be replaced. The Reds come with a 3 year warranty and as gizmo said, have enterprise features which make them a much more suitable disk for the application over Green models.

It was exactly the same problem here, not being anywhere near a supplier I rely on their customer service and delivery system, and as you know I was also let down far too many times by Scan when I needed things next day (which is normally two day delivery for me to begin with). I might place a few orders with YoYo over the next while, it's good to know there's another reputable supplier out there.

I'll let you know how the 850 performs after I get it bedded in. The only reason I'm upgrading is for the storage, but I'm sure the extra performance won't go to waste either! :thumb:

I'm pretty sure a disturbing proportion of WD Greens actually ship with pending sector S.M.A.R.T. warnings

I would assume that like me, lysaer is running 840 Pros, which that bug doesn't affect. I do have a few 840 EVOs though, and plenty more out in the field. I hope they fix the bug soon.

It's an Orion TKL, a Korean Custom.
It's fully programmable but most of the cost is in the casing itself which is solid anodized aluminum.
You can find more info and pics here. ;)

Other than that I just ordered a Roccat Kone XTD optical, Corsair superwide mouse mat and a Sharkoon usb 3.0 HDD dock.

1st Class train ticket to Manchester from Portchester inc Underground.
1st Class train ticket to Leeds from Manchester..
Cattle Class train ticket to Wombwell from Leeds... Thanks Northern Rail :thumb:

Ironically, it was cheaper to go this route, than it was to go direct, doesn't bother me.

My feedback would be that for an extra £50, the superior AC68U is the better choice. As long as you have another £50 that is ;)
